The Solo 2 DL is a high-precision GPS lap timer and complete data logger.
It features a 25 Hz four-constellation GPS receiver and a 100 Hz six-axis inertial platform. The system calculates, displays, and records lap times, sector times, vehicle position and speed, as well as 3D acceleration and gyroscope data.
The Solo 2 DL connects directly to the vehicle ECU to receive, display, and record data via CAN, RS232, and K-line connections. It also supports low-voltage inputs from ignition coils (150–400 V) or from a digital square-wave signal (8–50 V).
CAN expansions are available, including a Channel Expansion module that provides four analog inputs for sensors such as potentiometers, pressure sensors, and thermoresistances. The system is also compatible with the LCU1S Lambda Controller, a wide-band lambda solution using a Bosch LSU 4.9 sensor that delivers air/fuel ratio and lambda values for precise engine tuning.
The Solo 2 DL can be connected to SmartyCam 3 sport cameras, allowing data from the ECU, GPS, inertial platform, and analog inputs to be merged and displayed as real-time overlays on 60-fps video recordings.
All of these capabilities make the Solo 2 DL a powerful and complete data-logging solution, recording data to its 4-gigabyte internal memory for detailed post-session analysis.
